What would you do if you lost everything?
In my other article, as I said, that actually happened to me. It was about eight years ago. It was right after the great recession and everything that I had built, everything that I had accumulated, all my cars, all my houses, all my investments, everything was gone.
It Happened To Me…
It was wiped out because of the great recession. Even though I had done a good job of diversifying and even though I had done a very good job of investing, everything was still wiped out.
I've heard countless stories since then have the same thing happening to all kinds of people (and not just entrepreneurs but also regular 9 – 5 folks) that lost everything because of timing, because of the recession, because of credit drying up. There's so many things that it affected, and so many people that it affected.
It was really a sad situation. The first thing I did was, I assessed my skills and my talents and I decided to start providing services to local businesses and I started offering advertising services and helping them with Facebook ads, helping them with Google maps, helping them with websites and things like that. And what I found was it was actually a pretty lucrative business. It was pretty easy business to get into. Now for me, I happened to already know a lot of that stuff. I already happened already know how to do that stuff, but let me tell you what I would have done right out of the gate if I had none of that knowledge. None of that Internet marketing knowledge or experience is I would have started running Facebook ads for local businesses.
Quickest Path To The Cash
That's what I consider the low hanging fruit for fast cash. And you can learn Facebook ads by just getting a few courses or going on YouTube. You can learn very quickly how to run Facebook ads for a local business. The other thing about it is that because you're running Facebook ads locally, there's very little competition for those ads. So the cost per click is very low and the clickthrough rate is very high if you do it right.
So that was the first thing that I started doing was helping local businesses.
Become A Website Agency
And then the other thing you can do is provide websites for local businesses. Now again, you don't have to be a web designer to do this. There are tons and tons of web designers out there in the world who would love to work for you. And so your job is just to get the deal, get the website deal.
And guess what? There's so many local businesses that have horrible websites or have no website at all. And these are businesses that should have websites, right? So what you can do is when you're out there doing your networking, when you're out there talking to business owners, when you're out there prospecting, you let them know about some of the problems that they have with their website or let them know, hey, you don't have a website so therefore nobody can find you. And it's a very easy sale to sell a website.
You then outsource it to your web designer; have them do the design work and you're the go between and you're helping that business owner out tremendously.
Build Sales Funnels
The third thing I would do is I would learn how to build sales funnels using a tool called ClickFunnels. This tool ClickFunnels is revolutionizing the online business world.
It is turning people into millionaires and the reason is it's not just a software tool, but there's an entire culture and an entire training around this ClickFunnels software.
It is so powerful for ANY business.
So, I would learn how to build sales funnels using ClickFunnels and I would start promoting that to local business owners because the thing they need even more than a website is a sales funnel.
A website is like having a brochure that you hand out to somebody and they may or may not look at it. They may read it, but they're probably not going to do anything with it.
A sales funnel is like having a salesperson actively engaging with that person one on one and encouraging them to buy and using all the persuasion tactics available to get them to buy.
You see the difference? The website is a static brochure. The sales funnel is, in effect, a sales person – cloned by you and living on the Internet – that brings people in, takes them through a specific process to get them to be able to buy because before people can buy from you, they have to know you, like you and trust you, and the sales funnel creates that environment for them to be willing and able to buy from you.
So those are the three main things I would do right now if I had completely lost everything like I did back about eight or nine years ago. And that's what I would recommend to you today.
The real value and the low hanging fruit is in helping small business owners. And by the way the best, quickest service you can use to create big income is in running Facebook ads for their local business. Creating a sales funnel and a decent quality website. I would say Facebook ads to a sales funnel and that's amazing for them, but a lot of these businesses do need a good quality website as well.
